Last year, the foundations of your very own collection of zoo animals were laid with the launch of the Steiff zoo. Znd now there is company for last year's bear, giraffe, elephant, lion and dromedary. There are five new animals, each a must for the zoo.

All the animals in the Steiff zoo are based on original drawings by Richard Steiff, who make life-like sketches of animals from all over the world during his time as an art student. And this - but keep it under your hat! - is the secret of the typical character of all Steiff animals, which have such enchantingly realistic features, who are made with such dedication to resemble their models.

The five new animals are crafted from high-quality and elaborately cropped mohair which has been specially dyed in some cases.

So you had better start making room for the large Bengal tiger and for the rhinoceros and the zebra from the Serengeti, the baboon from Kenya and the crocodile from the Nile. And they are again bringing with them a new accessory for your zoo, namely an ornate base plate on which you can impressively arrange your exotic friends. This base plate is designed to supplement last year's back wall.

Animals are surface washable and have gold-plated "Button in Ear." The crocodile and tiger are 8 inches. The baboon is 5 inches, the rhinoceros is 7 inches, and the zebra is 6 inches.
