Brush Dax 1909 is a 2007 Worldwide Limited Edition
Richard Steiff was close to his faithful dachshund, who is said to have taken the train into the countryside on its own every now and then, returning home in the evening. These excursions seem to have been rather dusty affairs, as can be seen from the tongue-in-cheek brush designed by the ever-practical Richard Steiff in memory of his dachshund: the Brush Dax- made of finest velvet, with faithful, dark glass eyes and genuine horsehair. Just like in the original design, the long dachshund's tail can be bent into position - for example, should you wish it to be hung up on a rail. Today, however, it would be unthinkable to use this rare and classy collector's item to sweep up dust!
