It last tolled on February 22, 1846, in honor of George Washington’s birthday. But the symbolism of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia’s Independence Hall still rings true today. Steiff pays tribute to this monument to freedom with a special commemorative bear we’ve appropriately named “Belle.” In her paws, Belle holds a collectible die-cast
reproduction of the famous bell, which cracked severely upon its first ringing. In keeping with the historic theme, Steiff Belle, The Liberty Bear is sewn from cinnamon-colored, distressed mohair for a vintage look. Subtle airbrushing around her eyes, paw pads, and on her body adds to her antique appeal. Her slightly oversized cupped ears, sparkling shoe-button eyes, and enchanting expression make her one special bear.
